Signing up and your profile are free. The site takes nothing on your bookings: you agree on the trek and the price directly with the traveller.
Travellers write to you
They contact you through the site’s messaging and you get an email for each new message. Your email address is never shown.
In English and French
Write your presentation in English or French: the other version is translated automatically. So are travellers’ reviews.
Reviews from your clients
Travellers you have guided leave a rated review. Every review is checked before publication. You can reply publicly to each one.
Shown on Trek Nepal
Your profile appears on the pages of the treks you know on Trek Nepal, the trekking guide by Cause We Are Young.
Agencies: a verified badge
Agencies: your TAAN registration is checked in a few minutes and the badge shows on your profile. Guides: licence verification is coming soon.
How it works
- Create your account choosing “Guide or agency”, then confirm your email address.
- Fill in your profile with your presentation, treks, languages, indicative rate and a few photos (about ten minutes).
- Submit it for review: it goes online, usually within a day.

How much does it cost?
Nothing. Signing up, your profile, messaging and reviews are free.
Does the site take a commission?
No. Guides Nepal is not an agency and does not sell treks: the traveller books with you, at your price.
Who sees my contact details?
Your email is never shown. Your website and Facebook page are only visible to registered users. Travellers write to you through the site’s messaging.
My English or French is not perfect, is that a problem?
No. Write in English: your profile is translated automatically for French-speaking travellers. An “Improve my text” button also fixes mistakes.
I work with an agency, can I sign up?
Yes. You have your own guide profile and you link it to your agency: if it is on Guides Nepal, you ask it to add you to its team; if not, you simply enter its name.
How is my profile checked?
Every profile is reviewed before going online. Agencies are checked against the TAAN directory. Reviews are checked before publication.
